Electrical/I&C Design Engineer Major Projects Engineering is requesting a degreed Engineer or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience for the design of electrical and I&C modifications associated with the Nuclear Plant Major Projects Design Engineering Group. Individual will be supporting the Lead Engineer and Project Manager to implement and test the Turbine Control Replacement project.
Responsibilities will include design package and test plan development, coordination of design and test efforts with A/E and internal design team, technical support during implementation, and conducting reviews/approvals of design products and work orders. The individual will also conduct 50.59 screens and evaluations. Experience with NEI 01-01 and the evaluation of digital modifications is desirable. The ability to obtain qualifications as a Modification Engineer is required in order to be fully functional and work independently in this position.
Must have had previous qualifications for modification engineer, electrical engineer, I&C Engineer, Calculation and Design Verifier, with documented demonstration of past qualification at other nuclear stations under an INPO Accredited Program. A working knowledge of CAS and Primavera P6 is highly desirable. Experience in the design of Electrical systems, human-machine interface, instrumentation and control, requirements traceability, raceways, cabling, wiring, terminations, and related components within the nuclear industry is desired. Experience with the assessment of cyber security controls per NEI 08-09 is also desirable. Experience with Triconex and Honeywell Experion is also desirable. This position may require travel to A/E offices, suppliers, and others to participate in reviews, meetings, etc.
Individual will be required pass site security access requirements including General Employee Training, Radiation Worker Training, Security Clearance checks and subject to the sites Fitness for Duty Program.
