Workers at this level solve more complex problems in engineering areas of specialization with limited supervision. Workers are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with even greater independence. They effectively apply fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is progressingly complex and varied; 10 years discipline experience.
This individual will perform or provide a support role for the lead engineering function in development of engineering changes (modifications). This includes developing or revising calculations, procurement specification, and the detailed design and supporting documentation for Engineering Change packages involving plant equipment. The individual may also participate in design studies, development of detailed scope and cost estimates related to propose projects. Specific project types could include I&C, digital, and some minor electrical design work. Digital project work will require evaluation of Cyber-Security impacts and application of associated controls. Duties also include providing in plant engineering support for walkdowns during design development, and resolution of field problems during implementation.
Required Skills: •B.S. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or equivalent accreditation •5 Years Past Nuclear Site experience or relevant industry experience •Security and/or Cyber Security design architecture
Preferred Skills: •Past Nuclear Site Design Qualifications for Design Change and certifications to 50.59 processes •Familiarity with Ventyx Passport Consolidated Asset Suite (CAS) or similar software applications for design packages •Lead engineering experience managing multiple projects •Good written and verbal communications skills
