Job Function:

The basic function of the Professional Engineer is to coordinate the
structural activities of a" Projects assigned to him/her, to document the
necessary structural engineering calculations, and to providing
coordination for the structural aspects of the project.

            2.2       Other critical functions include personal work scheduling, engineering and
preparation of construction documents, some client coordination, resource
management, and any other work that relates to the project.

Job Requirement:

Professional License:

Professional Licensure in South Carolina, with completion of the
NCEES General Civil Engineering Examination. Professional
Engineering Licensure maintained in good standing for states in
which Engineering services are offered or executed.

            3.2       Experience

A minimum of 5 years experience with residential, commercial, industrial,
and/or government design, to include site and/or structural design.

            3.3       Skill, Knowledge and Technical Experience

The use of analytical and observational skills, which demonstrate an
ability to organize, direct, budget, control and manage the structural
portions of a project
. Proficiency in computer-aided deSign, with a working
knowledge of drafting required. Complete and organized structural
calculations. Proficiency with all applicable building codes and structural
and material design standards.

            3.4       Physical

                        Body Positions:           Standing, sitting, walking.

Body Movements: Carrying items, use of hands, eyes, ears, arms and
voice.

            3.5       Mental

Requires analytical and statistical knowledge using complex mathematical
skills. Language ability includes reading, writing, spelling, and the ability to
communicate clearly on technical and business topics in English

4.0      REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

4.1 The Professional Engineer reports directly to the applicable discipline
Director
.

4.2 Reporting to the Professional Engineer will be support personnel as
assigned by the discipline Director.

4.2.1 Engineers-in-Training
4.2.2 Designers

4.2.3 Administrative Support Personnel

5.0 AUTHORITY

            5.1       The Professional Engineer is delegated sufficient authority to make
decisions and take actions required to satisfy the responsibilities of this
position. Included in this is the accountability for both actions taken and
actions not taken by the Professional Engineer.

            5.2       Implement company policies and procedures in so far as they pertain to
his assigned project
.

            5.3       Ensure staff work priorities, methods and standards, operating systems
and procedures for the projects assigned to him.

            5.4       Ensure quality control standards are in accordance with Berenyi, Inc.'s
standards.

6.0      RESPONSIBILITIES

The principal responsibilities of the Professional Engineer include the following:

            6.1       Managing the structural portions of projects within predetermined budget
gu
idelines.

            6.2       Being the Structural Engineer of Record for projects that he/she is
assigned.

            6.3       Directing and supervising the structural activities of each project to
achieve preset levels of performance in terms of quantity and quality of
work produced
. This includes on-site scheduling, establishing goals and

standards.

            6.4       Planning all operations to maximize the efficiency of the work force,
materials, supplies, equipment and tools. Additionally, track productivity
for labor and material costs.

            6.5       Coordinating assigned projects with all discipline Project Managers or
Project Architects
.

            6.5       Assisting, as necessary, with proposal preparation and progress payment
reports.

            6.6       Review, as necessary, bi-monthly billings and submit to the applicable
Division Manager for concurrence and invoicing.

            6.7       Checking all work prepared by the support individuals for accuracy and
completeness. Coordinating paper flow, maintaining records, and
analyzing and improving methods and systems.

            6.8      Establishing and maintaining a coordinated, and cooperative relationship
with project team; clients, staff, consultants, and contractor
.

            6.9      Establishing and maintaining a communicative, coordinated and
cooperative relationship with all other disciplines w
ithin the organization.

6.10 Exercising sound and ethical business practices.

           6.11      Assist in the preparation of employee evaluations semi-annually on
employees that work directly with the Professional Engineer
.

6.12 Assist in mentoring all Engineers-in- Training.

7.0       DUTIES

The Professional Engineer shall fulfill the following principal duties as part of his
respons
ibility:

            7.1       Coordinate the structural portions of projects and documentation to
ensure that assigned support effort is scheduled to satisfy project
requirements in the most efficient and effective manner.

            7.2       Perform or directly supervise all necessary structural calculations to
document the design.

            7.2       With the discipline Directors approval, Contract with outside services as
needed to satisfy the requirements needed for each project
.

            7.3       Coordinate with clients to ensure satisfaction with respect to each project.

            7.4       Ensure that consultants work is produced in accordance with company
standards of quality and meet the requirements for the project
.

            7.5       Be alert to opportunities to change projects, which can benefit the client
and company
, and secure mutual approval prior to implementation.

            7.6       Ensure that all local, state, and federal government and company
requirements relating to safety, code and environment are str
ictly adhered
to and enforced
. Any deviations by the client are documented.

            7.8       Support and implement programs to project a favorable image of Berenyi
Inc. with various industry groups, government agencies, and the general
public.

            7.9       Perform other duties as required by the applicable discipline Director.

            8.0       MEASUREMENTS OF PERFORMANCE

The Professional Engineer will be evaluated on his performance in accordance
with the following guidelines:

            8.1       Engineering projects meet project specifications or exceed recognized
industry standards
. Construction documents and calculations are clear
and effective for the construction of the project
.

            8.2       All work completed on time and within budget limits for the project and
meet quality control standards

            8.3       Proposals, contracts, correspondence, and other project related
information completed within required time limits and stored for easy
access.

            8.4       Reasonable assistance to obtain past due payments from clients for work
contracted.

            8.5       Complete conformance to all company standards of appearance,
professionalism and customer service.

Prefer 4 to 10 years expereince

Prefer working knowledge of AutoCAD, RISA, MATLAB, and REVIT software.  

25-50% travel with a large percentage being in the Carolina's.

Prefer design as well as field experience.
