Mid-Michigan Hospital looking for a Cardiac Surgery APP. $250 per hour o Schedule: We’re looking to add one APP, as we have one departing, which leaves us with one APP to complete all vein harvests, and two overall. One day of Orientation Monday – Friday: 7am – 5pm One clinic day per week (8am – 4:30 pm) Four Inpatient/OR days per week Plus Call: APP’s take first call (ICU, ED, Outpatient) Weeknight/Weekend Call divided amongst three APP’s Vein Call divided amongst two APP’s (including this locum) o Volume: OR Cases: On average 3- 8 cases per week CVICU: 10 bed unit o Case Types: Saphenous and radial vein harvesting (Utilize Getinge EVH) o Clinical support: One CVS Surgeon (plus three locums) Two APPs o EMR and Dictation Tools: EPIC/Dragon o Required experience, training, and certifications: BLS ACLS Will not consider new grads o Case Logs: 50 Cases within the past 12 months o Consider IMLC or waiting for a license: Will consider IMLC; will not wait for license Due to the quick turnaround it would be ideal to already have MI license o Credentialing Timeframe: ASAP; Start date is 06/06/24

- Respond to level I and level II trauma’s, perform admissions/H&P/Consults
- Acting as hospital wide first call for all inpatient surgical services (general surgery, trauma, ortho, urology, colorectal)
- Proficient in suturing, central lines, art lines, and tube placement
- Evaluate general surgical & trauma consults/admissions and discuss with on call general surgeon
- Board any surgical cases
- Urology admissions/consults/board cases for surgery
- Troubleshoot foley catheters/troubleshoot continuous bladder irrigation/assist with set up for bedside procedure if surgeon is needed
