Diesel Mechanic

Are you an experienced Diesel Mechanic searching for a new position?

We are searching for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to add to our team! The hours are Monday-Friday beginning at 7:30am.

Job duties include:

• Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts, such as bearings, pistons, and gears.
• Overhaul and test major components, such as engines, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating parts.
• Diagnose and identify malfunctions using computerized tools and equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment and components.
• Perform final checks on installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, replacement, refitting, and adjusting products as required.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, drive trains, and tracks.
• Perform outdoor duties as required, greasing and replacing tracks in extreme weather conditions, etc.
• Frequently lift and carry 50 lbs., and push and pull 100 lbs.

Qualifications for heavy equipment mechanic

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair is required.
• Experience on a broad range of heavy construction, forestry, and compact equipment, such as: Bobcat, Case, Caterpillar, Hitachi, John Deere, Komatsu, Kubota, Volvo, etc.
• State inspector, ASE, and dealership certifications are a plus.
