The Volunteer’s Role

Cuso International aims to develop new partnerships with relevant stakeholders across Canada to support the recruitment, selection and placement of highly skilled Canadian volunteers in Peru.

Cuso International in Peru is looking for the expansion of its recruitment sources in Canada. The main focus of our programming in this Andean country are socioeconomic development – we work with cooperatives, social enterprises, producer organizations and youth entrepreneurs – and changing cultural and social norms that support violence against women and girls.

In Peru, we work to strengthen social and economic models that are more inclusive and sustainable, with a focus on social economy, urban agriculture, youth employment and entrepreneurship, and on the prevention and attention of gender-based violence cases.

Potential stakeholders can include universities (undergraduate and postgraduate programs) and technical colleges, institutions, private and public sector organizations, and civil society and community-based organizations, as well as Diaspora organizations. - Suggest on how to engage with these potential stakeholders.
