Cuso International’s e-volunteering program welcomes new and returning volunteers to work with our international program partners and volunteers remotely. E-volunteering offers many of the benefits gained from on-site volunteering, while having the extra advantage of fitting in one's regular weekly schedule without needing a passport. Contributing and giving back to a community, gaining new skills, and making new connections are common benefits of e-volunteering and for Cuso International it is a great opportunity to engage more people in its mission.

Cuso International aims to develop new partnerships with relevant stakeholders across Canada to support the recruitment, selection and placement of highly skilled Canadian volunteers in Peru.
Cuso International in Peru is looking for the expansion of its recruitment sources in Canada. The main focus of our programming in this Andean country are socioeconomic development – we work with cooperatives, social enterprises, producer organizations and youth entrepreneurs – and changing cultural and social norms that support violence against women and girls.
In Peru, we work to strengthen social and economic models that are more inclusive and sustainable, with a focus on social economy, urban agriculture, youth employment and entrepreneurship, and on the prevention and attention of gender-based violence cases.

Cuso International Peru
Cuso International works in many places around the world, one of which is Peru. Our Cuso International Peru office has recently implemented our VOICE project in 2015 which stands for Volunteers for International Cooperation and Empowerment. This project focuses on increasing the capacity of community-based organizations and the government in order to deliver innovative and sustainable/inclusive development opportunities for women, men, and youth in poor and marginalized communities. Cuso International will focus on two VOICE projects areas: Inclusive Sustainable Economic Growth (ISEG) project area and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) project area.

Based on approval, we will provide reimbursement for communications expenses related to your placement, such as Skype minutes, photocopying, and mail. We will reimburse to a maximum amount of $20 per month, with receipts, to a maximum of $100 for the length of the placement. Long-distance telephone call expenses will not be covered.
Technical requirements and considerations: E-Volunteers are expected to supply their own basic home office equipment and have a moderate knowledge of computer technology. Some of our partners are located in remote areas with unreliable internet connection. Consequently, it is reasonable to assume that when working with the partners, emails will not be responded to immediately. For most of our partners, this is their first experience working with e-volunteers and flexibility and patience will be required for this placement.
