Our client, a not for profit residence for autonomous seniors, is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team. Reporting directly to the Director, this person’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Job Function:


  • Complete cycle of bookkeeping, in adherence to proper accounting standards, up to trial balance;
  • Responsible for bank reconciliations, reconciling accounts and making appropriate journal entries;
  • Insure all accounts payable, accounts receivable, billings and collections are up to date;
  • Responsible of the complete cycle of payroll;
  • Prepare government reports (ex. DAS, GST, QST, CNESST, etc.);
  • Maintain and replenish petty cash for small expenses;
  • Maintain a rental roll, modify it when rental increases are implemented and up to date in the accounts of the residents as well as insuring collection of rents and all additional charges;
  • Provide regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts;
  • Assist with administrative tasks, if needed.


Job Requirement:


  • AEC, DEP or DEC in Accounting;
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Excellent computer knowledge, including Excel;
  • Bilingual – ability to effectively communicate in both English and French
