Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

Reporting directly to the Financial Accountant the Accounts Payable Clerk will be familiar with the responsibilities of full cycle Accounts Payable. Duties will include but are not limited to: processing all vendor payments in compliance with accounting procedures, performing day to day accounts payable transactions, including opening, stamping and coding invoices. In addition, you will be able to follow the correct procedures to obtain appropriate approvals via our electronic approval process and the Accounts Payable Clerk will have exceptional vendor reconciliation experience. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be able to verify and resolve vendor discrepancies and most importantly facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting vendors and clients. You will maintain the AP ledger and post debit card transactions to the GL.

The ideal Accounts Payable clerk will come with 3-5 years of full cycle Accounts Payable Experience, have a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting policies and procedures, outstanding data entry skills and hands on experience with spreadsheets and is proficient or intermediate MS Excel skills. You can work well within a team, you have a vehicle and you aren’t looking for a role where you sit at your desk all day. This role has you moving all over the building! Experience with ACCPAC is considered an asset.
