TECHNICAL SALES SPECIALIST
Our client the largest Health & Safety Instrumentation company in Canada is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to join the team in Edmonton, Alberta.
Position:
The Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for interacting with prospective and existing business partners in a professional, courteous and effective manner. This person will be tasked with managing a specific sales territory and have the passion and drive to develop new business to ensure the company remains a leader in the marketplace.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure customer satisfaction by providing professional, courteous and effective customer service. Assist with problem resolution as required.
Ensure prompt and courteous response to customer enquiries.
Maintain a satisfactory level of sales in accordance with corporate goals and objectives.
Seek out new potential customers based on an established business plan. Visit and qualify potential new customers.
Provide price and product quotations as required.
Provide Input to marketing department (print ads, website and brochures)
Travel as necessary to accomplish market penetration and to advance the corporate goals and objectives set forth by CCI. (estimated travel 25-30%)
Develop and maintain a high degree of technical knowledge as it pertains to product lines. Keep apprised of research and development in related fields. Keep fully apprised of competitive products
Develop and maintain knowledge of marketplace. Identify and keep management updated of business opportunities.
Represent the company in a professional manner to maintain an optimal quality of service.
Create well-written reports and documentation as required.
Maintain corporate standard of dress and deportment.
Ensure workstation is maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Communicate with and support other areas of the company.
Attend meetings and/or training sessions as required.
Attend and/or participate in trade seminars as required.
Take ownership of and successfully resolve problems as required.
Assist with emergent or unforeseen issues as required.
