PURCHASING MANAGER

 

Our client is a leading distributor of industrial products and today they are looking to add a Purchasing Manager to their growing team. Responsibilities:

 

Deal directly  with sales and marketing creating purchasing programs for the business unit.

Streamline purchasing process and create a win, win  with suppliers.

Add new vendors to the program and manage new product introduction to the market.

Ensures implementation of company buying policies are followed.

Work with inventory management team to meet company targets and benchmarks.

Keep up to date information on market conditions and purchasing trends.

 

Qualifications:

 

Proven leadership skills in a management role.

University or college degree PMAC or Supply Chain Designation would be an asset.

Excellent communication skills written and verbal and ability to negotiate with suppliers.

Industrial background in distribution would be an asset.
