R3D Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP MM WM Consultant for a new engagement with our client in the San Francisco Bay area.  This role requires someone with strong implementation skills and experience in SAP MM (Materials Management), WM (Warehouse Management), strong Purchasing (PTP processes) and some good knowledge of Ariba. You MUST live within a one-hour commute of the client location in Newark CA. This is ideally a FTE position but we will also consider a contractor.  


In this role your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing Warehouse Management flows;
  • Review system configuration and related IMG configurations as well as data migration aspects;
  • Implement the SAP Purchase to Pay process;
  • Coordinate (not configuration of) the Ariba solution;
  • Testing preparation, testing scripts, Regression testing;
  • Training for Key users and End Users
  • Cut-over planning, execution and Go-Live support
  • Execute Cut-over

To be considered for this role your background and experience must include the following:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in MM and WM, with related skills and experience in, Inventory Management and Procurement-to-Pay functions and process implementation within a manufacturing industry (ideally automotive related industry with the use of SAP contracts and scheduling agreements and EDI);
  • At least 5 full cycle implementations of SAP in any module in any industry;
  • Experience in being the lead in at least 3 end-to-end SAP Warehouse Management systems implementations
  • Purchasing (PTP process) experience,
  • knowledge of Ariba with the ability to coordinate but not configure the Ariba solution;
  • Collaborate with an ABAP team to update functional specifications;
  • Experience working with Center Of Excellence guidelines;
  • Excellent English communication. (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • A Bachelor’s degree and at least Seven years of related experience
  • SAP certified or equivalent
