Job Description Details:

R3D Consulting is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead a cross functional team as part of our client’s digital transformation initiative. This is a one-year contract, work from home engagement.


You will function as a leader across a spectrum of activities in the product development lifecycle and will be responsible for the vision and the delivery of digital products. You will identify user needs, help the customer understand business value and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases.

Your other main responsibilities will include:

  • Innovation and end to end development and implementation of digital products;
  • Collaboration and execution of the product vision and roadmap, communicating with stakeholders including, customers and business partners to ensure established goals align with business objectives;
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities;
  • Own, plan and prioritize the product backlog based on the needs and objectives of clients and stakeholders;
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals;
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy;
  • Act as the Voice of the Client. Understand and anticipate client needs and conduct required user validations to determine delivery of client value;
  • Manage, negotiate and collaborate with external partners/suppliers to ensure our client offers the best-in-class customer experience for products and solutions;
  • Liaise with partners, lead and facilitate problem-solving sessions and provide thought leadership;
  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external partners; and
  • Contribute to the product strategy to implement overall Digital Transformation Strategy


To be considered for this your role your background should include:

  • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles with a minimum of 3 years of working experience in an Agile Scrum setting;
  • Demonstrated ability in understanding of end-to-end customer experience, integration and dependencies of digital products;
  • Agile Product Management experience including leading the development of products and/or enhancements;
  • Solid experience and knowledge of the processes and tools used in an Agile team;
  • Experience in Wealth Management Industry is a strong asset;
  • Agile Product Owner Certification is an asset;
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3 years of working experience as Product Owner;
  • Bilingualism (spoken/written) in French and English, fluency in French is an asset

Due to the current workplace shut-downs, the candidate will be working from home until further notice. In normal situations, there could be opportunities for working from home with manager approval. This role may require some travel to Montreal.
