Brief Description:

Resonance is seeking candidates for an ongoing 1-year USAID-funded project focused on supporting USAID with project management, performance management, and knowledge management. The Management Consultant will provide direct support to the agency's staff on the development of performance and project management systems, metrics, and milestones that culminate in executive level reports. The Management Consultant will provide support to technical staff, performing a variety of both complex and routine analytical duties related to project management. S/he will develop and maintain standards around data quality and integrity and the procedures for the regular tracking of data. This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC through May 2019.


• Develop and maintain a tracking system for project and performance management
• Develop and advise on the development of performance metrics
• Oversee and ensure the quality of data entered into the system
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures for the use of the system
• Collect and compile data for use in regular and ad hoc reporting on the status of projects from various sources
• Recommend formats and content for reports, ensuring consistency with USAID standards
• Draft communications such as cables, memoranda, and letters relative to program matters
• Maintain program files
• Collect analytical and statistical data and develop reports as needed


• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline plus 8 years of relevant work experience in project management in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
• Strong attention to detail and proven ability to analyze large quantitative data sets; experience in data visualization
• Demonstrated experience translating large data sets into concise and effective decision-making tools for senior leadership
• Ability to work collaboratively with a range stakeholders
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Experience creating written reports and delivering effective presentations
• Ability to work independently and effectively within tight deadlines
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Eligibility to work in US
