Brief Description:

Resonance is seeking candidates to join our dynamic team in the role of Project Assistant in the Inclusive Markets practice area. The Project Assistant will provide critical support to the team’s administration of multiple USAID-funded institutional support contracts focused on promoting private sector engagement (PSE) and open innovation across USAID. This is a full-time position based in Burlington, VT, reporting to the Director, Inclusive Markets. Ability to travel up to 20% internationally on short notice required.


Responsibilities:

 Project & Budget Management (60%)

  • Generate monthly project budget reports for Resonance decision-makers
  • Support budget forecasting processes, under the supervision of the project manager for both client and Resonance needs
  • Build and manage the Inclusive Markets consultant library
  • Support resource mobilization by recruiting, drafting consultant agreements and amendments, and processing invoices and expense reports with accounts payable.
  • Coordinate international and domestic travel arrangements for home office staff, project employees, and consultants.
  • Draft general project correspondence, approvals, reports, presentations, and other miscellaneous documents.
  • Maintain, update and improve company and Inclusive Markets’ databases and document retention systems.
  • Other duties as assigned

Technical Backstopping to Projects (20%)

  • Support the preparation of client deliverables, including assessments, evaluations, trip reports, etc., including editing and ensuring adherence to client branding requirements
  • Provide logistical support to Washington, D.C. and global events as tasked
  • Other duties as assigned

Business Development (20%)

  • Assist technical teams and the business development team in proposal preparation, including budget drafting, recruitment, and general inputs
  • Define and track new USAID and commercial business opportunities
  • Liaise with domestic and international staff on project and proposal initiatives as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Public Administration, Business, or another relevant field
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years of professional experience
  • Understanding of, and demonstrated passion for global development preferred
  • Proven capabilities in detail oriented administrative, analytical, qualitative and quantitative tasks.
  • Experience and/or proven aptitude for budgeting, financial management, and contracts administration.
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and workstreams concurrently
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT) and OSX applications
  • Eligibility to work in US
  • Ability to travel up to 20% internationally on short notice.
  • US work authorization required.

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Fluency in a foreign language (French, Spanish, or Arabic preferred)
