Brief Description:

The Business Development Analyst will serve as a member of our business development team and will provide critical business development  support across our practice areas. S/he will focus on identifying, prioritizing, and pursuing business development opportunities with US government donors, including USAID and Department of State. The BD Analyst will track opportunities, help build and maintain Resonance’s BD pipeline, develop marketing materials as needed, support proposal teams,    manage proposal inputs, and providing strategic analysis of BD efforts.

This is a full-time position based in Burlington, VT or Washington DC. Ability to travel internationally on short notice, and US work authorization required.


Business Development (90%)

  • Track BD opportunities and liaise with potential partners
  • Carry out research needed to inform opportunity tracking and proposal development
  • Support recruiting efforts for the proposal development process
  • Contribute to the proposal development process as proposal manager, technical coordinator, personnel manager, and/or corporate capabilities writer depending on the size/scope of proposal
  • Coordinate with prime contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of required cost, technical and supporting documents required for proposal submission


Additional Activities (10%)

  • Draft corporate communications, including website content, one pagers, social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook), blog posts, etc.
  • Support the creation of marketing collateral as needed
  • Help develop Resonance partnership methodologies, tools, and training curricula

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
  • At least 2 (two) years of professional experience, preferably in an international development context
  • Familiarity with USAID and other USG clients
  • Proficiency in a foreign language (Spanish, French, or Arabic preferred)
  • Demonstrated capabilities in research and market analysis
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail
  • Technical experience in one or more of the following areas: private sector development, corporate sustainability, food security, financial inclusion , trade and competitiveness, natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, youth programming, and governance.
