Brief Description:

Resonance is seeking Chief of Party candidates for the anticipated USAID Power Africa Data and Technical Services contract. Power Africa Data and Technical Services will provide a wide range of support to advance new generation, transmission, and distribution capacity through transaction support, and to strengthen Power Africa’s partnerships across USG interagency, the private sector and development and donor organizations.
This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC, reporting to the Director, Inclusive Markets, and supervising the Power Africa Data and Technical Services team.


Responsibilities:

The Chief of Party will support and oversee all project components, objectives, and deliverables. In collaboration with USAID and other team members, the COP will be responsible for facilitating and guiding the project’s strategy and trajectory throughout its project lifespan. We seek candidate with USAID management and financial transaction experience, especially on similarly sized DC based USAID contracts.


Qualifications:

• Minimum of ten (10) years of project management experience with a US Government foreign affairs agency, international assistance organization, or non-governmental organization
• Minimum of three (3) years of overseas field experience working in one or more developing countries
• Minimum of five (5) years of management/supervisory experience
• Demonstrated experience in private sector engagement in international development, and in developing, or supporting the development of, innovative private-sector driven approaches to development challenges
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to work well under pressure and manage diverse teams
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and proactively work to achieve consensus on policy, project, and administrative matters
• Graduate degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university
• Eligibility to work in US
