Brief Description:

Resonance is seeking Chief of Party candidates for the anticipated USAID Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Support Mechanism. The COP will provide overall leadership, management, and technical direction of the entire activity, ensuring an integrated vision among different components and actors, and achieving the results defined in the contract. The COP will identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate activity adjustments. The position requires significant coordination skills, broad general and technical knowledge, experience in developing RFQ 7200AA19Q00025 PSE Support Mechanism countries, and skills to ensure coherence and consistency in spite of urgent deadlines. This will be a full-time position based in Washington, DC, reporting to the Director, Inclusive Markets.

 

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Economic Growth, Education and Environment (E3), Office of Private Capital and Microenterprise (PCM) is set to issue a Solicitation for the Training, Reporting, Technical Assistance and Communications Support (TRACS) Activity. The anticipated TRACS task order will support the PCM office to meet private sector engagement needs through training and facilitation, reporting and analysis, short-term and long-term staffing and communication support. The task order objective is to provide services and support for PCM’s mandate to develop and mainstream a new approach to planning and programming that focuses USAID’s resources on catalyzing private capital towards investments that contribute to development.


Responsibilities:

The Chief of Party will bear primary responsibility for overall leadership, project planning and implementation, and ensuring timely and high-quality expertise and deliverables for USAID. They will serve as the primary point of contact to USAID and contribute to successful, positive relationship with the client and other key stakeholders. The Chief of Party will be accountable for both the quality of the project, as well as for its effective financial and operational management. They will manage a team of technical staff, organizational partners and short-term consultants. The Chief of Party is responsible for achieving the expected results of the project and solving problems that may arise.


Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in international development, business, economics, or a related field of study
• Fifteen (15) years or more of progressively responsible international work experience, including private sector engagement and implementing training or communications programs with demonstrated strong management and coordinating skills
• Ten (10) years of management experience, including direct supervision of professional and support staff and assembling teams working on multi-faceted international development programs

• Demonstrated experience in liaising with high level representatives from both the public and private sectors.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding written and oral communications skills
• Familiarity with USAID regulations and compliance requirements preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the US
