Brief Description:

The Private Enterprise Officer will serve as Senior Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Advisors to USAID Missions within their respective regions to assist in fostering broad-based private sector engagement (PSE) focused on catalyzing private capital towards development objectives. Furthermore, the Private Enterprise Officers will assist Missions within their respective regions identify and develop high quality, impact-driven partnerships and development finance strategies with private sector entities and other key stakeholders that result in investments that address key USAID priorities.

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Economic Growth, Education and Environment (E3), Office of Private Capital and Microenterprise (PCM) is set to issue a Solicitation for the Training, Reporting, Technical Assistance and Communications Support (TRACS) Activity. The anticipated TRACS task order will support the PCM office to meet private sector engagement needs through training and facilitation, reporting and analysis, short-term and long-term staffing and communication support. The task order objective is to provide services and support for PCM’s mandate to develop and mainstream a new approach to planning and programming that focuses USAID’s resources on catalyzing private capital towards investments that contribute to development.


Qualifications:

• Degree in international development, business, finance, economics, or a related field of study or equivalent work experience;
• Ten (10) years or more of progressively responsible international work experience implementing development/blended finance programs aimed at catalyzing private investments OR direct transaction experience structuring and implementing blended finance/impact investment instruments;
• Relevant language experience based on region required;
• Previous experience providing technical advisory services to USAID preferred (particularly for LTTA positions).
