Brief Description:

Resonance is seeking an international consultant with appropriate expertise and academic background to support a Benin-based advisor tasked with supporting and strengthening the Government of Benin’s Direction of Essential Medicines (DPMED). The local advisor shall also assist DPMED to coordinate and implement related activities. The consultancy will involve approximately 10 days Level of Effort and will require collaboration with the local, Benin-based advisor to ensure his scope of work (SOW), SOW implementation, and resulting reporting and recommendations prioritize high impact interventions with achievable outcomes that reflect international standards and practices, as well as the local context. The consultant must be available to work beginning in August 2019.


• Proven knowledge and experience related to regulatory policies and practices to address the production, circulation, supply chain and logistics of of counterfeit medicines.
• Proven knowledge of international best practices in combating counterfeit medicines. Prior experience in Benin and/or West Africa strongly preferred.
• M.S./MPH in pharmaceutical policy, health governance, public health or related field required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in pharmaceutical policy, health governance, or related field required.
• Outstanding written and oral communications skills in French and English.
This is a consultancy that will be conducted remotely. Travel is not expected.
